Marty Casteel

Marty D. Casteel served as chairman, president and CEO of Simmons Bank from January 2013 until his retirement in April 2020. During a 33-year career with Simmons, Casteel held various leadership roles, including serving as senior executive vice president of Simmons First National Corporation.
Casteel is on the boards of directors of Simmons Bank, Simmons First National Corporation and Simmons First Foundation. Casteel received a B.S.B.A. degree in Marketing from the University of Arkansas in 1974. He also served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1978. Casteel has served on numerous boards during his career. He is currently a member of the boards of directors of Jefferson Regional Medical Center and the Economic Development Alliance of Jefferson County and past Chairman of the Board of both organizations.
He previously served on the University of Pine Bluff Board of Visitors and is a past president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Arkansas. Casteel is a native of Horatio (Sevier County) and resident of Pine Bluff.
