Chris Hart is a lifelong Arkansan and proud of it! Born in Pine Bluff, Chris is proud to have been a Watson Chapel Wildcat. After furthering his education at Henderson State University, Chris moved into a career in Broadcasting that had begun during his time as a Reddie.
Despite having the perfect face for radio, Chris felt called to join his family’s historical manufacturing legacy and in 2002 he went to work for Central Moloney, Inc. While his tenure repairing defective transformers didn’t last long, he still credits that time as the most influential period in his professional development. From “the floor”, he moved into supervisory leadership and then into Human Resources. He also led the Industrial Engineering effort for CMI before being promoted to Vice President of Personnel and Community Relations at the age of 30. From there, he assumed responsibility for Quality Assurance and EHS before becoming the Executive Vice President in 2013. Eventually, Chris landed in his current role of President/CEO in 2018.
Since 2018, CMI has experienced its largest growth in the Company’s 74 year history going from operating in two facilities to six with plans for a seventh under way. As an employee owned company, CMI’s share value has grown seven times since he became EVP than its value in 2012. A blue collar guy with white collar savvy, Chris doesn’t intend on stopping here. He lives by the mantra “The only way to coast is downhill.” There is no coasting in his future!
Husband to Jada and Dad to Hunter and Chloe, Chris spends his spare time enjoying his family. He is also committed to making his community and home state a better place. He is the current Chairman of Be Pro Be Proud and the Arkansas Self Insurer’s Guaranty Fund. He has previously served as the Chairman of the Associated Industries of Arkansas and the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce.
