Mass Spectrometry Facility

The University of Arkansas Statewide Mass Spectrometry Facility is a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry resource established in 1999 through a combination of National Science Foundation and state funding.

Its charge is to provide sophisticated mass spectrometry support for academic, government, and industrial researchers within Arkansas and nationally.

The facility is organized into two main subdivisions across campus. The Organic and Biological Mass Spectrometry division includes the High Performance Laboratory in the Chemistry Building, along with the Laboratory for Agricultural Applications and a Supervised Self-Service Mass Spectrometry space in the Poultry Science Building. The Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry Laboratory encompasses the Stable Isotope Laboratory in Ferritor Hall and the Inorganic Mass Spectrometry Laboratory in the Chemistry Building.

If you’re interested in accessing this facility, you may qualify for a voucher to cover facility costs. Visit Research Vouchers – Arkansas INBRE to check your project’s eligibility.
